ISLAMABAD: After having raised gas prices, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is working on a proposal to increase electricity tariff by Rs3.75 per unit.
According to Express News, the decision to increase power tariff is expected to be made tomorrow during a Economic Coordination Council (ECC) meeting which will be headed by Finance Minister Asad Umar.
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) had forwarded a summary to the government requesting to increase power tariff by Rs3.82 per unit. However, the government has decided to increase the price by Rs3.75.
