ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday that ex-PM Nawaz Sharif was desperate for another NRO to avoid conviction on money laundering charges.
In a message on social media site twitter, Khan said that Nawaz Sharif was desperate to save his Rs 300 billion stashed abroad.
The PTI chairman maintained that London game plan was obvious now. “Nawaz will retain control of the party and use it to malign the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), judiciary and military to pressure them for another NRO,” he said.
Imran Khan said Nawaz Sharif was not concerned about how much damage he had caused to the nation to save his ill-gotten Rs 300 billion.
