LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) commenced on Tuesday initiated an investigation against former Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif for holding assets beyond means of income.
According to the sources, an investigation team of the anti-graft body has questioned Shehbaz about his assets.
Shehbaz’s children may be summoned by NAB in light of the politician’s statement, it added.
NAB has summoned Salman Shahbaz on October 10 (tomorrow). Several transactions in different accounts of Salman are being investigated. Salman has been summoned to record an initial statement in the same regard, sources said.
On October 5, Shehbaz was arrested in the Ashiana Iqbal housing scheme case, when he appeared before NAB to record his statement in the Punjab Saaf Pani Company case.

A press statement issued by the anti-graft body read, “The National Accountability Bureau Lahore has arrested former Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiana housing scheme case. NAB will produce Shehbaz Sharif in an accountability court tomorrow.”
