Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport & Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said the water situation in the rivers remains abnormal, but the Sindh government has taken timely measures. He added that the government is monitoring the flood situation round the clock and all relevant institutions are on alert. In a statement, he said the Sindh government, district administration, and all relief departments are working under a joint strategy. He emphasized that nothing is more important to the government than the lives and property of the people, and all available resources are being used to protect them. The senior minister said that 7,724 more people were moved to safer places from the Kachha areas in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 141,611 people relocated. He said 4,894 people received medical assistance in the past 24 hours at 159 fixed and mobile health camps set up by the Sindh government. So far, 50,040 people have received treatment at these camps. Sharjeel Inam Memon added that 8,577 cattle were shifted to safe areas in the last 24 hours. In total, 388,940 cattle have been relocated due to possible floods. He said 36,881 cattle were vaccinated and treated in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number to 974,825 cattle vaccinated and treated so far.
